  2. They are actually called gers in Mongolia .... yurts is a Russian word for them .... and yes, hope to sleep in a few of them soon! It truly is such a vast country, and distances long and far between villages, ger or otherwise .... still don't know if I will make it to any part of the Gobi region .... have had a few trips cancelled by tour providers .... working on it though!
